The project supports wild bees through pollinator planting and maintains two hives of honeybees on the roof, with expected harvest between 20 and 50 pounds of honey during any given year. The Place Petal includes an urban agriculture imperative, which Watershed meets through the support of honey producing hives on site. Honeybee pollination supports nearby green spaces:

• Burke-Gilman Trail and Fremont Cut (150 ft).
• Gasworks Park (0.5 miles)
• Seattle Pacific University (0.7 miles),
• Meridian Park and the Tilth garden (1.2 miles)
• Woodland Park (1.2 miles)
